  • Position Type: Full Time (Hours can be flexible)

The Team: 
Reporting to Tracie you will work alongside the internal technical and warehouse team to ensure the smooth integration of deliveries through QC, in priority order, ensuring deadlines are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • This is a new role due to expansion within the Skanwear technical. The focus within the role is to uphold the highest standards of quality, garment construction, safety and labelling across our Strata range.

  • The role would suit anyone with a good knowledge of garment construction and manufacture looking for exciting opportunity within a small, hardworking technical team working across men's and women's multi-product categories.​​​​​​​

  • Accurate setting up of QC reports in preparation for       weekly Strata deliveries arriving into the UK DC

  • Physically examining and measuring Strata product according to standards, recording & documenting findings accurately and completing QC reports and quality assessment of product clearly and concisely

  • Urgently flag if product is not compliant with set standards and work with Technical Manager on solutions

  • Follow up with manufacturers on the outcome of reports and improvements they need to implement in advance of the next productions

  • Any non-conforming garments to be logged and dealt with as departmental procedure

  • Ensure priorities are met and highlight any potential delays to the Technical Manager asap

  • Organising the storage & return of any faulty garments to the relevant manufacturer

  • Maintain departmental paperwork on a day to day basis in respect of accuracy of information reporting and filing

  • Occasional European travel may be necessary to Manufacturing partners

  • Other ad-hoc duties to support the team as neede

Skillset Required

  • Good knowledge of garment construction is essential
  • High level of attention to detail in all functions of the role
  • Competent in Microsoft 365 programmes, particularly Excel
  • Ensure that due care and attention is given to the detailed task of inspection
  • The ability to compile clear and concise reports on QC findings for distribution to our offshore manufacture units
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment

Desirable:

  • Any previous experience of Garment Quality control would be beneficial
  • An understanding of sewing operations in a manufacture setting would be an advantage
