OEKO-TEX® Certification
We work with suppliers whose fabrics are certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This certification assesses textiles against strict criteria relating to harmful substances, environmental performance, responsible use of chemicals and dyes, energy and material use, workplace health and safety, and social standards.
This provides assurance that the fabrics used in our garments have been tested against recognised requirements for safer and more responsible textile production.
OEKO-TEX® certification applies to the certified fabrics supplied to SKANWEAR and not to the finished garments themselves.
WRAP - Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production
WRAP is a non-profit organization that promotes safe, ethical, and lawful manufacturing worldwide through certification and education. It is based on international workplace standards and local laws, covering human resources, health and safety, environmental practices, and legal compliance. Senior management must formally commit to these principles, assign responsibility for implementation, and carry out internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
Facilities are also subject to independent third-party audits to verify that standards are being met.
Registered Member of the Personal Protective Equipment Club
Not only are we getting certificates and test reports from BTTG, but we are also a member of the PPE Club! This means we are kept up to date with standards produced by committees such as as BS, CEN and ISO. We remain updated on relevant test methods, performance specifications and EU PPE Directives ensuring all our details are kept up to date. There is also Report Verification System, providing our customers peace of mind as they check the authenticity of our BTTG™ reports or certificate.
