Each year too many people are being killed or seriously injured as the result of an Electric Arc Flash. An Electric Arc flash results from an arcing fault, where the electric arcs resulting in severe skin burns, hearing damage, and eye injuries.
The purpose of this presentation is to raise awareness of this increasingly hazardous risk that for many years has been ignored or dismissed as being too low frequency to be concerned about. An increase in fatalities is forcing us to consider the Arc Flash risk seriously and take steps to protect our people and equipment from these devastating events.
