STRATA® Product Manager
Role Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the STRATA® Product Range fulfils the brand strategy to the utmost.
You will be a product expert with a passion to transform research – with customers, colleagues, supply chain partners – into technical design, working closely with other departments to bring those designs to sale ready products so we have the best opportunity to provide the ultimate STRATA® product range.

Job Responsibilities
1. Research - Customer interaction
- Reaching out to key wearers / market spaces and interacting with wearers, understanding what works, what doesn’t work, what needs improving
- Working on wearer feedback received via Customer Surveys, colleagues, return
Industry Research
- Competitor research
- Related industry research, e.g. fashion, sports, outdoor,
- Related product & PPE research to establish potential gaps in product range
Product Research
- Fabrics
- Components
- Branding
2. Design and Development

Using the information gathered in the Research stage, establishing
- Current product development enhancement needs
- New product development opportunities
- Within STRATA Arc & Flame Garment Ranges, but also in related additional PPE opportunities.
- Working with the “design team” to bring ideas and concepts to life
- Presenting your concepts and designs to a business committee – and welcoming feedback
3. Technical Design
- Taking the conceptual designs through to Technical Design – ensuring key features, design elements, functional elements are explicitly documented.
- Working with the Technical & Production Team to enable them to translate the Technical Design into tech pack, pattern making, physical sampling and then production readiness.
4. Wearer Trials & Samples Stage
- Working with wearer groups and the technical and production team to have samples / wearer trials evaluated, eliciting feedback and improvement objectives.

The job has functional relationships with:
- Marketing – for brand direction
- Technical & Production – for garment tech, sampling, production
- Sales – for customer/wearer interaction
- Supply Chain – for forecasted demand and current stock

Any other Information:
- Travel will be required
- Working as a Team with other major stakeholders
- Value is the key driver – it has to be right for the market/industry/customer segment.
- Project management capabilities and being able to work to strict deadlines is essential.
