When purchasing Arc Flash Protective Clothing online it is imperative to make sure you are measuring your size correctly. Note that sizing is not always the same as high street clothing brands.

  • Please request assistance from another person when taking your measurements.
  • Measure over light clothing as thicker clothing can increase measurements.
  • Remove any items from your pockets before taking measurements.
  • Measure with the tape measure flat against the body.
  • Do not hold the tape measure too tightly.
  • Please choose the correct size based on your largest measurement: Chest or Waist.

Follow these simple steps to ensure your Arc Flash Protective Clothing will fit.

1. Request assistance from another person when taking your measurements.

2. Take measurements over light clothing as thicker clothing can add to measurements.

3. Remove any items from your pockets before taking measurements.

4. Measure with the tape measure flat against the body.

5. Do not hold the tape measure too tightly.

How to measure (Mens)

Height: Height is measured bare foot from the top of the head to the floor.

Chest: Measure chest circumference around fullest part, keeping the tape level under the arms and across the back.

Trouser Waist: Measure around your body at the position you wear your trousers.

Inside Leg: Measure from crotch down to ankle bone.

How to measure (Ladies)

Height: Height is measured bare foot from the top of the head to the floor.

Chest: Measure chest circumference around fullest part, keeping the tape level under the arms and across the back.

Hips: Keeping the tape parallel to the floor, measure around the widest part of the hips.

Trouser Waist: Measure around your body at the position you wear your trousers.

Inside Leg: Measure from crotch down to ankle bone.

Designed to be worn in conjunction with Hi-Viz Orange Trousers for Workers on or near the trackside requiring garments certified to RIS-3279-TOM. This is an improved jacket with new lighter and more comfortable fabric.

Frequently asked questions

What's your return policy?

We have a 28-day return policy, which means you have 28 days from the date of dispatch to request a return if the item is unworn.

We do not accept returns for branded and custom made items. These items will only be accepted for return if the product is faulty.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@skanwear.com. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. The customer will need to arrange the return at their own expense (unless the item is faulty) via their preferred courier.

Skanwear will not be responsible for the item(s) until received back on Skanwear premises.

Returns policy

All returns for credit/exchanges must be within 28 days from the date of dispatch of the item (excluding items returned due to quality issues).

Goods will not be accepted back from the Customer without an official Skanwear returns authorization document, these can be requested at any time by emailing
sales@skanwear.com. You will need to provide the sales order reference number, item details and the quantity of items in your returns request.

Credit Notes will be issued upon receipt of returned goods, if applicable within 5 working days (to allow time for the items to go through the relevant quality checks). Returned goods must be resalable – unused (excluding goods returned with quality issues) and returned in the original packaging. Failure by you the customer to meet this requirement could result in a refusal to action the returns request and in turn the refund payment.

Goods returned due to quality issues are still required to be sent back to Skanwear in a respectable condition

Our lifetime guarantee covers your garments against manufacturer error. Manufacturer error can include but is not limited to:

  1. Faulty stitching.
  2. Twisted sleeve lining.
  3. Hole(s) in the garment (within 28 days).
  4. Missing button(s) (within 28 days).
  5. Broken zipper (within 28 days).

Our guarantee does not cover (not exclusive):

  1. Wear and Tear.
  2. Damage from incorrect care for the garment.
  3. Damage caused by incorrect washing.
  4. Ripped and split garments.
