TESTING & CERTIFICATION

Every garment undergoes rigorous testing and certification to ensure it delivers the highest standards of arc-flame protection. From individual components like zips and threads to the finished garment, we verify that every detail meets strict performance requirements. Official BTTG™ certificates and test reports confirm our compliance, and for additional reassurance, you can verify all reports using the Report Verification System.

As a member of the PPE Club, we stay fully informed on the latest standards from BS, CEN, and ISO committees, ensuring our testing methods, performance specifications, and compliance with EU PPE Directives are always up to date. Transparency and traceability are central to our approach. Every step of our testing process is designed to give engineers, HSE teams, and organizations complete confidence in their protective apparel.

Collaboration with Experts

We work with leading testing houses and partners such as BTTG™, Arcwear / Kinectrics, and Aitex, combining industry expertise with advanced testing protocols.

Component & Fabric Testing

Every fabric, thread, and component is individually tested before garment assembly. This ensures that each garment complies 100% with safety standards.

Protective Performance Transparency

We publish the lowest Cal value of either EBT/ATPV for the garment’s protective fabrics, as well as ELIM values. All garments undergo both Open Arc and Closed Box Arc testing, so you know exactly what protection you’re getting.

Comprehensive Testing Beyond Arc

In addition to arc testing, every SKANWEAR® garment undergoes extensive evaluation to ensure durability and reliability in the field. Fabrics and components are tested for abrasion resistance, tear and puncture strength, and overall tensile performance. We also assess color fastness, heat and flame resistance, and the innocuousness of materials to ensure garments remain safe, comfortable, and reliable in every environment.

Fabric Traceability

Every batch of fabric is quality-tested and fully traceable. Using the garment label, we can trace every yarn and fiber used to manufacture that garment — providing end-to-end assurance.

Full-System Quality Control (Module D)

From initial design concept to end-of-life, every garment undergoes comprehensive Module D quality control and audits, ensuring that safety, performance, and compliance are maintained throughout its lifecycle.
